Endowed

The Class of 1965 Endowed Scholarship was established in 2014 by members of the Class of 1965 led by Barbara Brairton and Peg Heetmann in honor of their 50th reunion. The scholarship supports students who are juniors or seniors in good academic standing and at risk of not being able to return to school because of a lack of financial funding. This scholarship should serve as an emergency fund for anyone who meets the criteria above to afford a Mercyhurst education when not able to otherwise.

The Emergency Book Fund was established in 2006 by Mercyhurst employees. The fund supports students who need assistance in purchasing textbooks.

The Marion Boyd '39 Endowed Book Fund was established in 2001 by Marion Boyd. The scholarship supports students in financial need for the purchase of textbooks.

The Betty Scarpo Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 by Brent Scarpo in memory of his mother, Betty Scarpo, whose life was taken before her time. The scholarship supports students who are full-time and not the recipient of an athletic scholarship and have demonstrated an ability to make a difference in his/her community. The scholarship is restricted to students who are faced with an emergency family situation and at risk of missing or losing their place at Mercyhurst. Students should apply for the scholarship and should maximize all other loan and grant opportunities.
